Over the past 24 years, we have built a culture that allows for all employees, regardless of their role or tenure, to express concerns and feel heard, valued, and included in company decisions and policies. We are currently accepting resumes for a part time (20-25hrs/wk) work from home medical billing assistant due to rapid growth. Responsibilities This person will be submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, posting payments, and insurance and patient follow up. Duties will include but are not limited to: submitting claims, auditing patient charts, patient and insurance follow up, appeals, posting payments, data entry, etc. Qualifications Medical billing experience, specifically insurance company follow up. Strong attention to detail, ability to take direction and ask questions, telephone etiquette, grammar, and computer skills including EMR (experience with Practice Fusion, Tebra and/or NextGen a plus), PM software, and Microsoft Office are a must. Benefits Compensation is contingent on experience, $15--$18 per hour. Previous medical billing experience is mandatory. We are a primary care practice that bills mostly office visits and in-home insurance assessments. Part-time hours would be 9-1 or 2 pm (20-25 hrs/week) with some flexibility on start and end times. Office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. Health and dental insurance is only available to full time (30+ hours per week) employees. PTO accrual Most major holidays off!
