Main Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using CPT and ICD-10 codes to ensure proper reimbursement. Review medical records and documentation to verify coding accuracy and compliance with billing standards. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies to maximize revenue recovery. Follow up on collections with patients and agency. Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure all patient information is current and accurate. Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations, insurance policies, and billing procedures to ensure compliance. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and ICD coding standards. Proven experience in medical billing processes, insurance claim submission, and follow-up procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in healthcare settings for documentation and billing purposes. Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
