Job Description

Med USA is a Utah-based medical billing/provider services company with a nationwide presence. We have been in business for over 45+ years and providing practice management, payer credentialing and contracting, and full revenue-cycle management (RCM) services, including coding, billing, follow-up, and denial resolution. Medical billing or insurance experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and resolve claim rejections and denials through internal processes and outbound communication with insurance companies. Identify trending issues with payer rejections/denials. Communicate effectively with management, other team members, and clients about denial trends affecting insurance payment, including suggested solutions; Answer inbound phone calls from patients and insurance companies. Assist patients to resolve their account balance, including explaining insurance issues, identifying and obtaining necessary information, and requesting/arranging payment. Contribute to the team by taking ownership of existing tasks, accepting new tasks, and seeking ways to improve the process. Duties and responsibilities may be modified as directed by management.
Qualifications:
1-2 years in the Medical Billing field (Preferred) Excellent customer service skills Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, along with proper spelling and grammar Ability to work quickly and efficiently with little oversight Ability to clearly express information, both written and verbal Critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving Ability to prioritize and manage a large workload/multi-task Computer competency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Well organized and detail-oriented Dependability Adherence to a high level of professional and ethical standards (including accordance with HIPPA standards)

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
