Orthopedic Billing Specialist

Medical Biller Orthopedics The Orthopedic Center of St. Louis is looking for an experienced Medical Biller (minimum 3 years) with knowledge in workmans comp. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task and have experience with all aspects of billing including charge entry, claims transmission, payment posting, insurance follow-up, and patient follow-up. The ideal Medical Biller must also: Navigate through various insurance rules and regulations to reduce A/R days Understand the nuances of various types of insurance carriers along with their claim requirements Provide successful follow-up efforts for A/R including the appeals process for denied claims Use data and reports as indicators for potential improvement areas Payment Posting Surgery Pre-Certification Work Comp Experience You must be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal direction. This position is full time and does include health, dental, free life insurance, clothing allowance, Paid Time Off and a 401K retirement Plan.
