Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal billing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with our attorneys, accounting team, and clients to ensure accurate and timely billing while maintaining compliance with client billing guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.
• Manage electronic billing (e-billing) through various client billing platforms, including invoice submission, tracking, and resolution of rejections and reductions.
• Review and edit attorney time entries and billing narratives to ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Work directly with attorneys and clients to resolve billing discrepancies, respond to inquiries, and make necessary invoice adjustments.
• Maintain accurate client billing information and records within the firm's accounting system.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on billing issues to ensure timely processing and payment.
• Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to streamline billing procedures and improve efficiency.
• Assist with additional accounting and billing projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years legal billing experience required, preferably in a law firm environment
• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong understanding of legal billing practices, terminology, and procedures.
• Experience with electronic billing platforms and client billing guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with legal billing software.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
