Job Description
Billing Clerk (Family Law) Our firm is seeking a Billing Clerk to join our busy office. The ideal applicant is a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can multi-task without sacrificing attention to detail. Individual must have the ability to work independently, as well as in a team and, have common sense and critical thinking skills. As the Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks related to all financial aspects of the firm, collecting information for and preparing mediation packets, answering phone calls, and assisting with general office duties. Responsibilities Prepare and process invoices and other billing records. Answer clients' questions about billing records. Communicate with customers via fax, telephone, email, letter, and face-to-face. Receive payments for services and adjust invoices when necessary. Manage accounts receivable. Deal with all billing issues Create Financial Declarations Prepare Attorney Fee Affidavits Collect information and prepare Mediation Packets Assist in daily office task Skills Previous experience as a billing clerk or a similar role Excellent math skills Strong communication, organizational and time- management Computer literacy Excellent secretarial and organizational skills Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
