The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance claims, and reimbursement procedures. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication skills to ensure timely and compliant billing practices. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving discrepancies promptly Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing guidelines Keep current with insurance and healthcare regulations affecting billing practice Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing or related field is required. Experience with multiple insurance payer claim rejections and denials preferred. Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
