Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Minimum 6 months of experience in medical billing, payment posting, healthcare collections, insurance processing, or revenue cycle management Knowledge of insurance denials, claim rejections, and coordination of benefits (COB) Strong data entry and computer skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Experience working with healthcare billing systems is preferred
Job Duties:
Process and post insurance and patient payments accurately and efficiently Review electronic remittance advice (ERA) and explanation of benefits (EOB) documentation Research and resolve insurance payment discrepancies Process insurance denials and claim rejections while following established procedures Apply coordination of benefits (COB) guidelines to ensure accurate reimbursement Maintain accurate account records and support collection and follow-up efforts Verify payment documentation and ensure compliance with company policies Meet quality, productivity, and accuracy standards in a fast-paced office environment
