If this aligns with your values and you want to join a leader in the banking industry, we are hiring for a Collections Associate that will make effective and productive calls to collect on delinquent accounts and supports the overall goals of the Collections Department.

MAJOR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Initiates outbound calls and receives inbound calls related to late-stage delinquent cardholder accounts. Adheres to call monitoring guidelines as they pertain to FDCPA and TIB compliance guidelines. Communicates with banks, debt counselors, and other parties, as required, on delinquent cardholder accounts. Clearly annotates account records to note details of any telephone contacts or other key information that will assist in future collection efforts. Utilizes extensive skip tracing skills and tools such as probative questioning, Accurint, and Credit Bureau, to locate delinquent cardholders for collection purposes. Reviews and processes incoming correspondence pertaining to assigned accounts. Enhances collection efforts by encouraging the use of payment by phone and processing approved payments. Complies with all banking laws and regulations, and maintains the confidentiality of bank and customer information.

REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including two evenings per week and two half-day Saturdays per month, with occasional overtime as needed Excellent negotiation skills Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within and foster a team environment Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across all levels

Software:
