JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Billing Specialist is to manage the day-to-day activities in respect to customer service billing for service work. Will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all data as it relates to our client files, cash receipts and for reporting. New client set up and reporting are among the task assigned to this position along with special projects as requested by Management. The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to multi-task without sacrificing quality of work and will have a strong desire to learn. The Billing Specialist must be detail oriented, have good listening skills, communicate effectively both written and verbally, and working knowledge of billing practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Daily preparation and posting of customer invoices within company software and web-based portals Audit billing and communicate with other internal departments as necessary to ensure compliance with customer-defined special billing requirements. Communicate with customers to obtain all information necessary to produce complete and accurate invoices and prevent payment delays. Verify with customers to ensure special billing requirements are current and accurately reflected in our system Fully understands the need for accurate data entry All other tasks or duties as designated by management AR experience preferred, but not required Proficient in Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel 10-key by touch Professional demeanor Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Exceptional time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to engage with vendors and internal staff/management to exchange information, negotiate, influence and persuade Ability to manage multiple priorities and work towards deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Works independently and within a team and all levels of internal management and staff
