Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Billing and Claims Specialist, where your expertise will drive the accuracy and efficiency of medical billing processes. In this vital role, you will manage the submission and follow-up of insurance claims, ensuring timely reimbursement and resolution of billing issues. Duties Prepare, review, and submit accurate insurance claims using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Verify patient insurance information and ensure compliance with healthcare claims management standards Analyze medical records and documentation to assign appropriate
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, perform medical collections when necessary, and resolve discrepancies efficiently Maintain detailed records of billing transactions, claim statuses, and correspondence in compliance with healthcare regulations Communicate effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to expedite claim processing Stay current with updates in health insurance policies, medical terminology, and coding guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, medical coding, or healthcare claims management within a medical office environment Strong knowledge ofICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding systems, DRG classifications, and healthcare claims procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications along with familiarity with billing software, EMR/EHR systems Excellent understanding of health insurance policies, medical records management, and medical terminology Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across diverse audiences Ability to analyze complex medical documentation accurately and resolve billing issues promptly Prior experience working with medical collection processes is a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in healthcare administration.
