Experience:
3-5 years preferred Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Patient Account Specialist with strong experience in healthcare billing, medical collections, or a collection agency environment . This position supports the TLRA Revenue Cycle collection units and is responsible for resolving patient accounts placed for collection. The specialist will perform account follow-up, research outstanding balances, communicate with patients and insurance/reimbursement vendors, and ensure accounts are resolved accurately and in compliance with applicable client, state, and federal guidelines.
Important:
Candidates must have healthcare billing/medical collections or collection agency experience. Patient Access experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position. Key Responsibilities Perform medical collection activities and account follow-up. Research and resolve outstanding patient account balances. Communicate professionally with patients, clients, insurance carriers, reimbursement vendors, and other external parties. Handle inbound patient and carrier calls and resolve account-related questions. Review and analyze account issues to determine appropriate resolution. Update patient account information accurately and promptly in the collection system. Maintain accurate account status and documentation. Follow client, state, and federal collection guidelines. Use collection tools and systems effectively to meet established recovery goals. Support collection activities for both active Accounts Receivable (AR) and bad debt (BD) inventory. Maintain a high level of patient and client satisfaction. Meet established productivity, quality, and performance standards.
Required / Preferred
Qualifications 3-5 years of experience preferred. Strong healthcare billing, medical collections, or collection agency experience required. Experience with patient account resolution and collections. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to research account issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Accurate documentation and data-entry skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.
Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
