Must have high school diploma or GED, including and supplemented by courses in bookkeeping and typing Proficient in Excel is preferred, but not required Must have knowledge of or willing to learn facility credentialing Must have knowledge of medical billing Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurableJob Purpose:
Will serve as the Center's Billing Specialist Responsible for the development, preparation, billing and collection of insurance (third-party payments of individuals served). Prepares and submits reports and requests for payment from third-party payers Responsible for the credentialing of all providers with MCO's, Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance Responsible for bank deposits and downloads the EOP's Responsible for the posting of incoming payments and adjustmentsJob Function:
File claims in a timely manner and helps to resolve billing issues Credentials all providers with MCO's, Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance Monitors billing against collection activities Ensure all invoicing is complete and mailed no later than the 10th day of the month Review client accounts for any discrepancies or balalnces owed to the Center Reviews and prepares reports Responsible for creating and distributing the journals in a timely manner to the appropriate person for posting of payments This Organization Participates with E-Verify Central Plains Center is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/DisabledBenefits
