Billing Clerk/EVV Specialist :
Administrator and PAS Supervisor :
Hiring Bonus after 90 days of employment $500 : The billing clerk/EVV specialist assures the PAS hours that are entered are being billed and being paid according to EVV service delivery verification. This cash flow process is critical to the business health and well being. The billing clerk/EVV specialist assures that the billing function is completed quickly and accurately and that payments are posted in a timely manner. They review insurance denials and submit appeals in a timely manner and drive the collection process to completion. The billing clerk interfaces with a variety of HMO's and should remain current on EVV codes and other data entry requirements, etc. Data entry accuracy and timing is a critical part of this role. :
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
Experience:
One year experience in billing or health-care related setting is preferred. Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Power point, Access) is required.
Licensure/Certification:

Must meet all employment eligibility requirements per agency policy. Bilingual- Spanish is a must :
- Bills insurance daily for the services provided based on EVV service delivery submission
- Updates the required data bases with the progression through the billing process
- Addresses all billing issues (denials, underpayment, delayed payment) in a timely manner
- Addresses all EVV issues in a timely manner
- Coordinates with attendant staff regarding time-in/out corrections in EVV system and updates the system accordingly
- Thoroughly researches all outstanding billing or payment issues
- Assures all data entry is accurate and timely and all documentation is complete
- Monitors the EVV system on a daily basis to ensure that service delivery has been verified
- Update the EVV system with changes in authorization as needed
- Trouble shoots EVV system errors
- Operates in a HIPAA compliant environment
- May perform other duties as assigned, such HR duties.
