Job Description

Our client is looking for a detail-driven Billing Associate to join their finance team to work as an integral team member in lowering overall billing cycles times and increasing collections.

What You Will Do:
  • Prepare and process 150+ accurate, compliant invoices monthly across Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Material (T&M), and commercial contracts
  • Ensure timely billing and payment cycles in line with company policy
  • Maintain organized, detailed financial records and respond to billing inquiries with confidence
  • Support successful internal and external audits by following established billing procedures
  • Contribute directly to revenue, EBIT, and cash flow goals
  • Track and manage billing data in financial systems, ensuring full compliance with U.
S. GAAP and relevant accounting standards

  • Must be a US Citizen due to our client's requirement
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Associate-s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business equivalent strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting processes and practices
  • Basic understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFAR, DCAA, DCMA, DoD, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Sarbanes-Oxley Act preferred
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of accounting software applications such as MS Excel, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Experience preparing FFP, T&M, and commercial invoices
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and government-contract accounting requirements
  • Experience supporting billing audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation
  • Experience using Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, or similar enterprise financial systems
