Full Job Description Job Summary:
The E-Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the electronic billing process for the law firm. This role ensures that all client invoices are accurately submitted through e-billing platforms, adheres to client-specific billing guidelines, and resolves any issues related to invoice rejections or disputes. The E-Billing Specialist works closely with attorneys, billing coordinators, and clients to ensure timely and accurate billing, supporting the firm's financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

E-Billing Management:
Prepare, review, and submit client invoices via e-billing platforms. Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies. Monitor the status of submitted invoices, addressing any rejections or issues promptly. Work with billing coordinators and attorneys to resolve discrepancies or client inquiries. 2.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding e-billing matters. Respond to client inquiries related to billing, payments, and adjustments. Collaborate with clients to resolve any billing disputes or discrepancies. 3.
System Maintenance and Reporting:
Maintain and update e-billing system records, including client profiles, rate tables, and billing codes. Generate and analyze e-billing reports to monitor billing efficiency and identify areas for improvement. Assist with the implementation and testing of new e-billing platforms or system upgrades. 4.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all billing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of billing submissions, adjustments, and communications. Assist in the preparation of audit materials related to e-billing processes. 5.
Training and Support:
Provide training to attorneys and staff on e-billing procedures and best practices. Support the billing team with ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in billing, e-billing, or accounting, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Proficiency with e-billing platforms such as LEDES, Serengeti, TyMetrix, or similar systems. Strong knowledge of billing processes, legal billing guidelines, and financial principles. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with legal practice management software (e.g., PerfectLaw, Aderant) is a plus.
