We are a leading provider of home health services committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a highly experienced Home Health Billing & Coding Specialist to join our team and ensure precise and timely billing operations for our home health programs.
Job Summary:
The Home Health Billing & Coding Specialist will manage the medical billing and coding tasks for home health patients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and insurance regulations. The ideal candidate has a proven background in home health billing and coding, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and process billing and coding information for home health services, including skilled nursing, therapy, and hospice care. Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes in accordance with current regulations and payer guidelines. Submit claims to insurance providers and follow up on denied or pending claims. Maintain accurate patient and billing records, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with clinical teams to verify documentation completeness and accuracy. Monitor billing metrics and produce reports to support revenue cycle management. Stay informed on changes in home health regulations, coding standards, and payer requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing and coding within the home health or hospice setting. Proficiency in
ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
coding, and medical billing software. Strong knowledge of insurance processes, including Medicare and Medicaid billing. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills for collaboration with clinical and administrative teams. Certified Coding Professional (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
