We represent community associations throughout the Commonwealth in resolving delinquent accounts through a structured legal process. Every communication we send is held to a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and empathy. About the Role This is a detail-critical position built to grow into substantive financial work. Your primary responsibility from day one is written communication with homeowners: responding to email accurately, professionally, and in full compliance with firm procedure and federal debt-collection regulation. Our correspondence carries legal and financial weight. A single overlooked figure can create a real problem for a client, a homeowner, or the firm. We are looking for someone who takes genuine satisfaction in getting things exactly right. As you build mastery, we will train you into new responsibilities in deliberate stages. First phone communication, then the technical financial work at the center of this practice: preparing payoff statements, calculating assessments, interest, costs and fees, and closing accounts. Responsibilities From day one:

Respond to homeowner and association correspondence accurately, professionally, and empathetically, following established firm templates and procedures Maintain meticulous, well-organized case files and documentation Follow firm compliance procedures exactly and consistently Introduced in stages as you build mastery: Manage inbound and outbound calls, handling sensitive conversations with care Process and accurately record payments received Prepare and review payoff statements and statements of amounts due and owing Calculate balances, interest, costs, and fees with precision Support account closings What We're Looking For Exceptional attention to detail. You double-check your work, you catch small errors, and a wrong number bothers you. Excellent written communication. Clear, professional, precise writing is the heart of this role. Comfort with numbers. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is strongly preferred. This position grows into payoff calculations and account closings, so a solid numbers background is a significant asset. Willingness to follow defined processes without cutting corners. A professional and empathetic manner with people in stressful financial situations. Solid computer skills , including Word and Excel, and comfort learning specialized legal and collections software. Our office is in The Plains, close from Marshall, Warrenton, Haymarket, Gainesville and Middleburg. This position does not include employer-sponsored health insurance.
