Career Opportunity:

Olympic Dermatology is looking for a Billing Specialist to join our growing team! The Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately submitting and managing medical claims . This role ensures timely reimbursement by resolving claim denials and maintaining compliance with dermatology-specific billing guidelines and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in dermatology coding (including medical and cosmetic services), and skilled in communicating with insurers, patients, and clinical staff.

Duties Include:

Submitting claims and monitoring accounts receivable Monitoring to ensure payments received are consistent with contracted rates. Posting payments from patients and insurance companies and posting related contractual adjustments. Monitors automated payment and adjustments for accuracy. Process denials for reconsideration by insurance company and/or transfer to patient responsibility and generate statement. Other duties as needed to ensure the proper procedures and policies are followed

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of five (5) years of medical office experience is also required. Strong basic math skills and sound critical thinking abilities are essential. Must demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities, as well as effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Dermatology billing experience is preferred. Completion of at least two years of college or a medical billing/coding certification is also preferred.

Pay:

$24.32 - $30.10 per hour
