The last person in this seat started as our biller and was promoted to Billing Operations Manager within a year. We are a growing psychiatric practice that promotes from within, and we are looking for the next person who wants that path: someone who wants to own our revenue cycle, not just work a queue. About Us Optimum Mental Health Services is an outpatient psychiatric practice in Renton serving adults across the Puget Sound region. Our providers deliver psychiatric evaluations and medication management, primarily via telehealth, and we operate a growing Spravato (esketamine) program for treatment-resistant depression. We are a small, close team where your work is visible and your ideas get implemented. About the Role You will run the day-to-day revenue cycle for the practice on Tebra, our practice management and billing platform. Twelve months in, success looks like this: claims go out daily and clean, denials get worked and appealed instead of aging out, A/R over 90 days is shrinking, and you can tell us exactly how the practice is performing and why. What You Will Own Daily claims preparation and submission for commercial payers, and posting of ERA/EOB payments Insurance eligibility and benefits verification for new and existing patients, including prior authorization tracking Denial management: research, correction, resubmission, and appeals through resolution A/R follow-up with payers and patients, monthly patient statements, and collections outreach handled with the care our patients deserve Patient billing questions, answered promptly and kindly — we treat billing conversations as part of patient care Monthly billing reports and KPIs for practice leadership, with your recommendations for process improvements What We Are Looking For Required 2+ years of medical billing experience, including direct work with commercial health insurance payers Experience with claims submission, payment posting, and denial follow-up Ability to maintain strict confidentiality (HIPAA) and exercise sound judgment Strong written and verbal communication with patients, payers, and teammates Preferred Behavioral health or psychiatry billing experience Experience with Tebra, Office Ally, or a comparable clearinghouse / practice management system Experience with prior authorizations for specialty medications Medical billing certification (CPB, CPC, or similar) Pay and Benefits $30-$33 per hour depending on experience, at the top of the market for this role in our area.
