Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time $51,500 - $64,300 a year 19 hours ago Qualifications Staff supervision Team leadership High school diploma or GED Collections account management Full Job Description As the Collections Assistant Manager, you will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the collection team. This role allocates work assignments and reviews work for thoroughness and accuracy. Assists and trains staff. Reviews documentation to ensure compliance with institution policy. May work with mortgage, credit card, or installment loan accounts.
Collections Assistant Manager Job Responsibilities:
Sets performance goals for staff, oversees progress, and manages departmental flow to ensure established standards are consistently met Leads monthly performance conversations and completes annual performance reviews for direct reports Works escalated accounts and communications and approves modifications Reviews and analyzes collection team trends, reporting results to management and recommending corrective strategies Leads monthly charge-off review meetings with Collection Manager to assess loss trends and forecast upcoming charge-offs, delinquency ratios, and balances Prepares, maintains, and ensures the accuracy of required records and reports, including charge-off recommendations, month-end processes, loan servicing, and payment modifications Ensures appropriate and complete documentation for bankruptcy accounts and accounts place with collection agencies and legal counsel
Collections Assistant Manager Experience:
Two to Five years of collections or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions Previous supervisor/management experience required Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Collections Assistant Manager Education:
A high school degree or GED required

Exempt:
