Job Description

Department:
HVMG Central Billing Office, Beaver PA.
Work Hours:
Primarily Monday through Friday daylight hours. Evenings and weekends as needed to support operations. This position oversees the Physician accounts receivable and daily operations of the staff and processes within the department. This person is responsible for continually improving day to day operations of the professional billing services including but not limited to, submission of timely and accurate claims, timely collections and follow-up on patient accounts. The person in this position is responsible for measuring and monitoring revenue cycle metrics including but not limited to days in A/R, cash collections, denial rates, and aged receivables. Promotes quality customer service and positive staff education and support. This individual will be evaluated partially on his/her ability to quantify opportunities for improvement and successfully execute changes working with supervised staff as well as stakeholders external to the department.
REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field; at least 5 years' experience managing physician receivables including a minimum of 3 in a direct management/supervisory role; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Proficiency in the use of Excel spreadsheets and claims processing systems. Knowledge of payer regulations and requirements as they relate to professional fee billing and collections. Solid understanding of customer satisfaction principles, root cause analysis and demonstrated success in achieving improvements. Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence, and poise.
PREFERRED
Experience with physician accounts receivable management across multiple specialties.
