Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented Collections Manager with strong experience in loan processing to lead our collections department. Protect the credit union's loan portfolio, and minimize losses through effective collection and recovery strategies. This role will be responsible for managing the collections department, overseeing delinquent accounts, and ensuring compliance with all credit union policies. The ideal candidate has a background in financial services, a deep understanding of loan processing. Must be able to operate basic office machines such as: fax, copier, computer, adding machine and phone. Maintain a clean, neat, pleasant work environment by maintaining a professional look. Team player with a positive outlook and behavior towards members and co-workers. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the collections department. Monitor and manage delinquent loan accounts, negative accounts and Credit Card accounts ensuring timely and effective recovery efforts. Implement strategies to reduce delinquency and increase recoveries. Handle escalated collection matters and negotiate complex repayment plans or settlements. Manage collections accounts by analyzing account histories, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing effective collection strategies. Communicate with members via phone, email, or skip tracing techniques to negotiate debt repayment plans and resolve account issues professionally. Handle confidential information with integrity and maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and account statuses. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Strong knowledge of consumer loan processing and documentation.
