Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Collector for Autonomous Vehicles to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating autonomous vehicles to collect essential data for research, infrastructure planning, and environmental monitoring projects. Your expertise in driving, vehicle handling, and safety practices will ensure accurate data collection while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Tue-Sat | Wed-Sun | Thur-Mon | Fri-Tue | Sat-Wed | Sun-Thu Duties Operate a range of commercial vehicles including trucks, buses, flatbeds, and specialized equipment such as forklifts and tow trucks to gather data across different locations. Conduct safe loading and unloading of equipment, ensuring adherence to safe lifting practices and proper handling techniques. Navigate using GPS systems efficiently in various environments, including adverse weather conditions and challenging terrains. Maintain accurate logs of routes, vehicle usage, and data collection activities for reporting purposes. Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic mechanical checks, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and operation of heavy equipment like dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route updates, safety concerns, or operational issues during shifts. Experience 3+ years of professional driving experience (no less than 1 year) Experience in a high-volume, customer-facing driving role Prior autonomous vehicle (AV) industry experience is preferred, but not required Education High school diploma or GED preferred
