This role primarily consists of preparing patient accounts by using online searches to obtain patient demographics and insurance information. This role is vital to prepare patient accounts and preparation to send claims to insurances. Responsibilities Receive documentation about patient transports. Creating new accounts for patients in our billing system using various healthcare websites and software to obtain patient information including name, date of birth, mailing address, phone number, etc. Run insurance eligibility to ensure active coverage prior to billing claim out to insurance companies. Other administrative duties that may include assisting the billing department at Apex Paramedics Requirements Must be able to work in office. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Ambulance Billing/Coding certification preferred, but willing to train the right person for the job. Must be living or moving to Denver, CO by the end of September 2026. Salary range is based on previous ambulatory billing experience or equivalent work history.
