Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry professional for a contract/temporary opportunity in Fort Lauderdale, FL within a government and public sector office environment. This role is ideal for a reliable administrative professional with strong data entry accuracy, intermediate computer skills, and the ability to process high volumes of records in a deadline-driven setting. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. US Citizens will only be considered for this role. Key Responsibilities
- Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with required guidelines.
- Perform accurate data entry while maintaining productivity across large volumes of records.
- Research voter records, identify discrepancies, and escalate items requiring supervisory review.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling voter information, official records, and sensitive documentation.
- Support team workflows during peak election-cycle periods, including extended hours as operational needs require. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $25.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
Location:
Fort Lauderdale, FL.- Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Extended schedule: May include evenings, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and extended workdays as required during the election cycle.
- Assignment start date: As soon as selected candidates complete all required screening and clearance requirements and Human Resources confirms the start date.
- Assignment end date: November 9, 2026. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Review records and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Enter and update high volumes of data while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Research record discrepancies and refer issues to designated supervisory staff when needed.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant administrative, clerical, data entry, records processing, or related experience.
- Must be available to work the full temporary assignment from the HR-scheduled start date through November 9, 2026, without planned interruptions.
- Must be available to work extended hours and extended workdays, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operationally required.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based applications, and accurate data entry.
- Demonstrated experience performing accurate data entry with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to process large volumes of records while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures, learn new processes quickly, and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain regular attendance throughout the assignment.
- Comfortable working in a business casual office environment.
- Must successfully complete and clear required criminal background screening and drug screening before starting the assignment. Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with data entry, records processing, voter registration, elections, government, or public-sector office operations.
- Experience processing large volumes of records in a deadline-driven environment.
