Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist for a 2-month contract assignment supporting election operations in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is ideal for a highly accurate administrative professional who enjoys structured work, public service, records processing, and supporting important community-focused operations. The Data Entry Specialist will process voter registration applications, Vote-by-Mail requests, voter record updates, and other election-related transactions. Key Responsibilities
- Process voter registration applications, Vote-by-Mail requests, voter record updates, and related election transactions accurately and on time.
- Enter, review, verify, update, and maintain voter and election-related information in agency databases and data entry systems.
- Review applications and supporting documents for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before processing.
- Research voter records and documentation to resolve discrepancies or refer issues for supervisory review.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive voter information in accordance with established laws, policies, and procedures.
- Perform administrative, clerical, and records support duties as assigned to support election operations. Compensation and Benefits

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.- Extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.
Work Location:
On-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Required Qualifications and Skills- Process high-volume voter registration, Vote-by-Mail, and voter record transactions.
- Maintain and update accurate voter records using agency systems and databases.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
- Support administrative and clerical functions within election operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute required.
- 1 year of data entry, records processing, administrative support, clerical, or comparable office experience preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based applications, and data entry systems.
- Ability to accurately process large volumes of information while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and follow written procedures, work instructions, and established workflows.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive voter information.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality throughout the temporary assignment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented office environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in elections, voter registration, records processing, government, or public sector office operations.
- Experience processing large volumes of records in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of general office procedures, records management, data entry practices, and customer service principles.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and confidentiality.
