Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Data Entry Specialist for a temporary 4-week election cycle project in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This contract opportunity is ideal for an administrative professional with strong Excel skills, excellent data accuracy, and experience handling confidential employee or applicant information. In this role, you will support a busy Human Resources team in a mission-driven government and public sector environment. You will help maintain accurate workforce records, process high-volume HR data, reconcile information across systems and spreadsheets, and support time-sensitive staffing needs during an important operational period. Key Responsibilities
  • Enter, update, review, and maintain employee, applicant, and temporary worker information in HR systems, spreadsheets, databases, tracking logs, and electronic files.
  • Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy while meeting established election cycle processing deadlines.
  • Review applications, forms, staffing records, personnel documents, and supporting materials for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Reconcile HR data across spreadsheets, reports, staffing records, applications, and authorized documentation to identify discrepancies or missing information.
  • Maintain HR master lists, temporary assignment records, status reports, workforce tracking spreadsheets, and other administrative records.
  • Scan, index, organize, file, and maintain confidential electronic HR records according to established procedures and records-management standards. Compensation and Benefits

    Fort Lauderdale, FL. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Support HR data entry, records processing, reconciliation, quality control, and administrative tracking during the election cycle.
  • Maintain and update temporary worker assignment information, including position title, department, staffing agency, assignment status, start date, end date, and authorized changes.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, tracking reports, reconciliations, status lists, and HR processing records.
  • Monitor assigned records, spreadsheets, and queues to identify incomplete items, discrepancies, or matters requiring HR review.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant administrative, clerical, data entry, HR support, or records-processing experience.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute accurately.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work efficiently with large spreadsheets and data sets.
  • Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to review, compare, validate, reconcile, summarize, and maintain data across multiple sources.
  • Strong confidentiality standards and the ability to protect sensitive employee, applicant, and temporary worker information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Clear communication skills for reporting discrepancies, missing documentation, processing issues, or items requiring supervisory review. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Human Resources, staffing, onboarding, personnel records, or temporary workforce administration.
  • Experience working in a government, public sector, election cycle, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic records management, document indexing, scanning, file naming, and data quality-control procedures.
