We are seeking a Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk to support our day-to-day manufacturing, inventory, and freight operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate production and inventory records, processing information in our ERP system, and supporting freight and shipping activities. Position Summary The Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, reviewing, and maintaining production, inventory, work order, and freight-related information in SAP Business One. This role works closely with Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate information throughout the manufacturing process. The position also supports freight operations by obtaining and comparing carrier quotes, entering prepaid-and-add freight charges, reviewing Parcel, LTL, and FTL freight invoices for accuracy, assisting with Bills of Lading, and coordinating shipments as needed. The Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk is expected to maintain a high level of accuracy, identify and resolve discrepancies, and help ensure reliable records that support manufacturing and shipping operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accurately enter production, inventory, and manufacturing data into the company's ERP system, SAP Business One. Enter and update work orders, production quantities, material usage, and related manufacturing transactions. Review production paperwork for accuracy and completeness before entering information into the system. Verify entered data against work orders, production reports, and other source documents to ensure accuracy. Maintain accurate inventory records, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Record material movements, inventory adjustments, scrap, and production variances as required. Assist with closing and reconciling completed production work orders. Identify data discrepancies and work with the appropriate departments to research and resolve issues. Obtain freight quotes for incoming and outgoing shipments from multiple freight partners and select the appropriate carrier based on cost, service, and shipment requirements. Enter prepaid-and-add freight charges accurately into SAP Business One. Assist with preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other required shipping documentation. Assist with arranging and coordinating inbound and outbound freight shipments as needed. Review weekly Parcel, Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and Full-Truckload (FTL) freight invoices for accuracy. Identify freight billing discrepancies and work directly with carriers to research and resolve errors. Maintain accurate freight, shipment, and carrier records. Coordinate with Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and other departments to obtain or clarify information. Generate and maintain production reports, spreadsheets, tracking logs, and other documentation as required. Perform routine reviews of data and records to identify missing, duplicate, or inaccurate information. Maintain organized electronic and paper records in accordance with company document-control and record-retention procedures. Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation activities as needed. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of company, customer, production, and freight information. Meet established deadlines for daily production, inventory, and freight-related data entry. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements while working in or around manufacturing areas. Provide general administrative support to Production and Operations as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional business or technical education preferred Previous data entry, administrative, manufacturing, inventory, shipping, or related experience preferred Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Experience with SAP Business One or a similar ERP/MRP system preferred Ability to accurately enter and maintain production, inventory, work order, and freight-related information Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to review documents and records, identify discrepancies, and follow through to resolution Basic understanding of manufacturing, inventory, shipping, and receiving processes preferred Familiarity with freight terminology and processes, including Parcel, LTL, FTL, Bills of Lading, and freight quoting preferred Strong numerical skills and ability to review freight rates, charges, invoices, and other transactional data for accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with internal departments, vendors, and freight carriers Ability to work independently while effectively supporting Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and other departments Dependable, organized, and able to handle confidential company and customer information appropriately Physical Requirements & Work Environment Full-time, onsite position: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Regularly required to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while performing data entry and administrative tasks Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment Ability to review information on computer screens, reports, invoices, work orders, and other documents for accuracy Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, freight carriers, and other business partners Occasional movement throughout the facility to collect paperwork, verify information, or coordinate with Production, Inventory, and Shipping/Receiving Ability to walk and use stairs as needed when moving between office and manufacturing areas Occasional lifting and carrying of files, documents, office supplies, or other materials associated with the position
Benefits and Compensation Pay Range:
