Asset Management & Controls Documentation Coordinator Onsite -
Manufacturing Facilities Duration:
6-8 week project Position Overview We are seeking a driven and organized individual to support an equipment asset management and obsolescence initiative across large manufacturing facilities. This role will focus on identifying, capturing, organizing, and documenting equipment information and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing assets. This is not a highly technical position. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a manufacturing environment, communicating with plant personnel and equipment vendors, and accurately managing information using Excel and existing asset management tools. Key Responsibilities Work onsite within manufacturing facilities to locate and document equipment and machine asset information. Support an ongoing asset management and equipment obsolescence initiative. Work from existing lists of machines and equipment where Controls BOM information is missing or incomplete. Locate existing equipment BOMs and documentation within the facility. Capture Controls BOM information associated with equipment, including PLCs and PLC versions, electrical and electronic components, breakers, controls hardware, and other relevant machine components. Contact equipment vendors or internal plant personnel when documentation cannot be located onsite. Scan, organize, and upload equipment documentation into the team's existing system/dashboard. Maintain accurate tracking of completed and outstanding equipment documentation. Use Excel to organize, track, and report asset information and project progress. Communicate regularly with the project team regarding findings, missing information, and progress. Ideal Candidate Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable approaching and working with plant personnel and external vendors to obtain information. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic data entry/document management. Comfortable working onsite every day within a large manufacturing or assembly plant. Able to navigate a large facility and spend significant portions of the day locating equipment and gathering information. Persistent and resourceful when documentation or information is difficult to locate
