Data Entry Clerk:
Process application documents, telephone inquiries, email requests, and other recruitment/application documents into the prospective student database. Serve as a point of contact for the Office of Admissions, providing exceptional customer service by assisting students, families, and staff with questions, concerns, and application-related needs. Provide answers and guidance to internal and external staff, answer inquiries from prospective students and families regarding current admissions policies Coordinate and process admissions documents. Process web applications to completion for review. Process new student credentials for admissions. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of application processing. Identify and resolve discrepancies in applicant records, such as missing documents, duplicate records, or incorrect data entries. Determine appropriate corrective actions, and follow established procedures to resolve issues efficiently. Adhere to WSSU Data Standards Check for minimum course requirements. Adhere to all FERPA rules and regulations. Primary Function of Organizational Unit The primary function of the Office of Admissions is to achieve and maintain the optimum recruitment rates for the University. In conjunction with this function, the Office of Admissions develops programs that will market the University and provide access to qualified candidates. Also, it is the goal of the department to enroll students with a profile that equips them to meet the challenges of the University.
