Data Entry Clerk Bright Tech Co. - 3.0 Cincinnati, OH Job Details Full-time $18.50 - $22.00 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Computer literacy Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Data entry Typing Office experience Full Job Description We are adding a Data Entry Clerk to our Cincinnati office to keep the client, project, billing and service information behind a cloud-engineering business accurate, current and easy for the right people to use. If you are naturally the person who spots a date that does not match, checks a total twice or asks a sensible question before saving a record, you will understand why this role matters. Clean data helps engineers plan work, helps project teams report honestly and helps clients receive clear information. Your work will have a purpose beyond simply typing into a system. The information you will look after You will enter and update records from service documents, project notes, invoices, assessment forms and internal trackers. That will include checking names, dates, reference numbers, status updates and cost information before it is entered into our systems. On a normal day, you may: Update client and project records in spreadsheets, shared databases and internal platforms. Compare source documents with existing entries and correct straightforward errors. Identify missing, duplicate or inconsistent information and send it to the right person for clarification. Maintain orderly digital files using the correct naming and version-control process. Prepare routine trackers, exports and simple summaries for project and operations colleagues. Record completed milestones and follow up on documents that have not yet been returned. Handle commercial and client information with care and discretion. This is a Data Entry Clerk position, not a cloud-engineering role. You do not need a technology qualification, and we will teach you how our records connect to the services being delivered. What we do need is someone who takes accuracy seriously and is comfortable learning a structured process. What will help you settle in quickly You should be confident using a keyboard and basic spreadsheet functions, able to follow written instructions and willing to speak up when information does not look right. A high school diploma or equivalent is sufficient. Previous data entry, records, office or administrative work is welcome, but it is not essential if you can demonstrate reliability, attention to detail and basic computer confidence. Your working week This is a full-time, on-site position in Cincinnati, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid meal break. The consistent weekday schedule is intentional: you will work alongside the people who create and use the records, so questions can be resolved properly rather than guessed at. Your first few weeks will focus on the systems, document standards and quality checks. As your accuracy becomes consistent, you will take ownership of recurring record sets and have the opportunity to build skills in reporting, project administration and operations support. If you want practical office experience in a professional technology environment and you are proud of getting the details right, apply through Indeed with an up-to-date resume.
