Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Clerical position that assists with data entry and voter processing for General Elections. Position will include processing applications and preparing for scheduled election dates. During peak Election cycles, the Data Clerk will be expected to work up to forty (40) hours per week. This could include evening work when necessary.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Data entry of new and changes of voter registrations; Assist the general public; Process incoming mail; Process and send mass mailings; Pack bags related to elections; Sort documents related to elections; Proofread ballots; Prepare supplies for election day; Some travel to voting districts, meetings, conferences, and trainings; Performs other duties as needed.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit for long periods of time with frequent periods of standing, walking, and occasional twisting, reaching, pulling, and pushing required; Sedentary work with occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds; Must be able to pay close attention to detail and concentrate on work.
REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and
ABILITIES
Knowledge of Federal, State, and County election laws and regulations a plus; Data entry experience preferred; Good communication and interpersonal skills MINIMUM EXPERIENCE and
TRAINING
High school diploma or GED certificate required; Experience in the voter registration and election process preferred or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; Proficient in Microsoft products; Valid driver's license required.
Pay:
$15.15 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
