Operating from centers in the United States and the United Kingdom, our teams work around the clock to help vessels navigate safely, efficiently, and reliably across the world's oceans. Behind every voyage is a real-time support team ensuring vessel reports are processed accurately, client requests are handled quickly, and critical voyage data reaches routing staff without delay. From container ships crossing the Pacific to tankers navigating heavy weather, our operations teams help keep global commerce moving. Position Overview AMI is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maritime Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Norman, Oklahoma. This role supports real-time maritime operations by processing vessel reports, entering voyage data, monitoring client communications, and assisting routing staff with critical support functions. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, pays close attention to detail, and works well in a team-focused environment. This is a full-time, in-office position. Remote work is not available for this role. Key Responsibilities Process vessel position reports and operational data with a high degree of accuracy Enter and manage client voyage orders within AMI systems Monitor and respond to client email communications professionally and efficiently Support routing analysts and operations personnel with administrative and support tasks Maintain awareness of active vessel activity and priority requests Assist with quality control and verification of operational data Manage multiple responsibilities within a 24/7 support environment What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable working independently during quieter periods Able to remain focused and accurate during repetitive or process-driven tasks Strong written communicators Comfortable learning technical systems and industry terminology Adaptable within a shift-based work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in operations, logistics, dispatch, customer service, maritime, aviation, or administrative support is a plus Strong computer and typing skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Willingness to learn and grow within the company Schedule & Work Environment AMI operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in support of the global shipping industry.
This position includes:
