Data Collection Moderator - Overnight Bellevue, WA | $17.00/hr on W2 | 3+ Month Contract Job Summary Centific is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Data Collection Moderators to support an overnight video data collection project in the Seattle metropolitan area. In this field-based role, you will travel to participant homes, set up and operate video recording equipment, guide participants through scheduled activities, perform real-time quality checks, and upload collected data through the project application. The ideal candidate is comfortable working overnight, confident with technology, professional when interacting with the public, and able to follow detailed project instructions accurately and consistently.

All required recording and collection equipment provided Service Area Assignments may require travel to participant homes throughout: Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Renton, Tacoma, Federal Way, and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Travel to scheduled participant homes during overnight hours. Work as part of a two-person moderator team for each overnight session. Obtain required participant consent and NDA forms. Set up and operate standardized camera and video recording equipment. Manage recording equipment in nighttime and low-light environments. Explain the project and provide clear instructions to participants. Guide participants through required scenarios and activities according to project guidelines. Record required scenarios and calibration videos. Update the project application in real time throughout each session. Answer participant questions and provide professional support during data collection. Monitor sessions and perform quality checks to ensure data is captured correctly. Review collected data for completeness and quality. Maintain the required equipment inventory before and after each session. Troubleshoot equipment or technical issues and escalate problems when necessary. Communicate with the designated after-hours support contact regarding technical, participant, or safety issues. Keep sessions on schedule and complete all required project activities. Follow all established overnight safety procedures and project guidelines. Qualifications & Requirements Must be comfortable and alert working overnight/graveyard shifts. Must have a reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle and be willing to drive throughout the project. Ability to travel between participant homes within the assigned service area. Comfortable working with cameras, video recording equipment, mobile applications, and other technology. Ability to troubleshoot basic technology and equipment issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Ability to learn detailed procedures quickly and follow written instructions precisely. Comfortable interacting professionally with participants and the general public. Ability to work independently in a field environment while following required procedures. Comfortable communicating by phone, text, and mobile application during overnight shifts. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365. Willingness to learn and consistently use the project field application. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Willingness to commit to a fixed overnight schedule for the duration of the engagement. Willingness to use a personal vehicle for approved vehicle-based scenarios conducted according to project guidelines. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Data Collection Moderator. Experience with video recording, field data collection, quality assurance, technology support, or similar project-based work. Overnight Safety & Support Safety is a key priority for this project. Moderators will receive training on the required overnight safety procedures before beginning the assignment.Safety protocols include:
Moderators work in pairs for every overnight session. Solo overnight home visits are not permitted. Required check-in and check-out communication with the designated PM/safety contact. An after-hours escalation contact is available throughout each overnight shift. Participant homes are pre-screened for overnight suitability. Night-specific safety orientation is provided before the first shift. Training includes situational awareness, well-lit parking and equipment staging, and emergency procedures. Compensation & Logistics $17.00/hour on W2 Mileage reimbursement for travel between participant homes. All required recording and collection equipment is provided. Candidates are responsible for the proper care and nightly inventory of assigned equipment. 3+ month contract opportunity. Why Join This Project?
