Job Description

Overview The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Insurance Verification specialist. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Insurance Verification specialist's duties include, but are not limited to, verifying insurance for assigned physical therapy clinics, answer incoming calls ans schedule appointments. Must have the ability to communicate professionally, both orally and written for clear, legible messages. Work directly with insurane companies. Update patient's insurance coverage. The Insurance Verification specialist must be able to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.
Qualifications Education required:
HS/GED Experience:
One year work experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work under pressure Outstanding organizational and writing skills Ability to speak clearly and concisely Self-motivated and ability to work independently Independent, self-starting and highly motivated Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history Knowledge of data entry and Excel a plus.
