Job Description

Intake Specialist College Hospital is seeking 1 per diem Intake Specialists to join our team in Cerritos, CA. The job is responsible to perform intake and related duties in conjunction with Admitting functions.
Responsibilities:
Completes documentation on pre-admission screening forms accurately and follows through with intake in a timely manner. Promptly handles incoming calls and screens clients; promptly forwards information to appropriate licensed person. Maintains departmental logs accurately. Handles intake calls and walk-ins at the hospital via telephone contact in a timely manner. Enters all pre-admission screening information in the computer accurately. Promptly dispatches Psychiatric Emergency Services Clinicians as needed.
Required Skills:
B.S. or B.A. in Psychology, Social Work, or related field or LVN/LPT required. Basic computer skills (typing and navigating through basic computer programs)
