Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable, empathetic, and detail-oriented Medicare Specialist to join our growing agency. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating the complexities of Medicare. You will be responsible for educating individuals on their coverage options, analyzing their healthcare needs, and guiding them through the enrollment process for Medicare Parts A, B, C, D, and Supplement (Medigap) plans. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, a deep understanding of Medicare compliance regulations, and a passion for helping the senior community secure optimal healthcare coverage.

Salary Range:

$42,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits Annual Base Salary + Commission Paid Time Off (PTO)

Certifications:

Current AHIP (America's Health Insurance Plans) certification, or the ability to pass it before the next enrollment cycle.

Medicare Knowledge:

Strong foundational understanding of Medicare enrollment periods (IEP, AEP, SEP), coverage guidelines, and compliance rules.

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in simple, accessible language.

Relationship Management:

Strong interpersonal skills focused on customer retention, active listening, and consistent follow-up. Responsibilities On a daily basis, the Medicare Specialist splits their time between expanding the agency's reach and maintaining our valued client relationships. You will proactively call new leads and prospective customers to introduce our services, answer initial questions, and schedule consultation appointments to help bring in new business. To keep our existing clientele satisfied, you will conduct regular policy reviews for current customers, checking in to ensure their coverage still aligns with their medical needs and budget. Because the healthcare landscape changes rapidly, you will consistently stay abreast of new CMS rules, carrier updates, and industry regulations. Additionally, you will dedicate effort to following up on pending applications, returning client inquiries, and updating agency databases to ensure a seamless experience for every individual.
