Job Description

Insurance Specialist/Front desk: We are looking for an insurance specialist/ front desk to manage and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As an insurance specialist/ front desk, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our insurance specialist/ front desk's duties include: offering administrative support across the company, responsible for managing insurance-related processes, claims coordination, client support, and regulatory compliance. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will be scheduling patients, distributing emails and redirecting phone calls. To be successful as a insurance specialist/ front desk, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. The ideal insurance specialist/ front desk should be available Monday through Saturday and you choose to have either Monday or Friday off.
Tasks:
Greet patients in a courteous & professional manner. Receive and send emails as need and requested Schedule appointments according to office scheduling policies and therapist schedules Coordinate and track insurance claims from initiation to resolution Collect copays & co -insurance. Verify coverage details, eligibility, and policy compliance Communicate with insurance carriers, and clients to resolve issues Analyze policy terms, coverage limits, and exclusions to identify risks or gaps Assist clients or internal stakeholders with insurance-related questions Ensure client's files are complete Conduct phone calls as requested from therapists Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort, and distribute daily emails. Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
