Full Job Description Job Title:

Housing Eligibility Specialist/Case Manager The Housing Eligibility Specialist performs administrative tasks to screen applicants and tenants, ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and the ability to effectively communicate with clients while navigating complex situations. The Housing Eligibility Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that applicants receive the support they need in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Screening new applicants and conducting interviews to determine eligibility. Processing tenant re-certifications for continued eligibility and rent adjustments. Verifying client documentation, including income, childcare, and housing history. Assigning housing units and calculating rent payments. Maintaining logs, preparing reports, and processing various documents. Coordinating with other agencies and referring clients to additional resources as needed. Downloads information from the system; requests unit inspections and compares rent reasonableness of proposed rent to comparable units in the community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree 2 (Two) years of experience Previous experience as a Case Manager or Social Worker HUD financial assistance or low-income housing required Valid Florida driver's license. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
