Surgery Center of Volusia is a fully accredited Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). In order to minimize a patient's time away from family, work or favorite activities, the Surgery Center of Volusia utilizes today's most advanced surgical techniques and state-of the-art equipment. Patient care is never compromised rather optimized for quick recovery and healthy results. We are currently searching for a Part-Time (32 hours) Insurance and Authorization Verification Specialist to work Mondays - Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Underneath the supervision of the Business Office Coordinator, the Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for: Receiving and tracking insurance authorizations Verifying and inputting patient insurance information Updating patient accounts Establishing written/electronic co-pay estimates Communicating with patients regarding co-pay Documenting patient communications in SIS Candidate must possess: A high school diploma or GED One (1) year of experience in Insurance Verification Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and medical terminology Knowledge of commercial insurance plans and Medicare Ability to speak and understand the English language Atrong ethical and moral character references Basic computer and phone skills Ability to cross train Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated Previous Ambulatory Experience preferred Apply Now!
