Type:

full-time The High School Initiatives Assistant provides administrative, enrollment, and student support for the Office of High School Initiatives (HSI), with particular emphasis on dual enrollment admissions, registration, funding support, and communication. The position serves as a first point of contact for students, families, high school partners, and college personnel and assists HSI staff with the high-volume transactional processes necessary to enroll and support high school students at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Serves as a first point of contact for students, parents/guardians, high school counselors and partners, and college personnel by phone, email, and in person; responds to routine questions regarding HSI programs, admissions, registration, funding, and enrollment processes and escalates complex cases as appropriate. Monitors and assists with management of the HSI shared email inbox and telephone communications, ensuring inquiries receive timely responses and appropriate follow-up. Assists with processing dual enrollment and other HSI student applications, records, forms, and enrollment documentation using Banner, TargetX, and other college systems. Processes approved student registration requests and assists with routine registration functions in accordance with HSI and college procedures. Reviews student records to identify missing requirements, holds, incomplete enrollment steps, registration barriers, and other issues requiring follow-up. Maintains accurate records of registration requests, completed registrations, unsuccessful registration attempts, and reasons students could not be registered. Provides administrative support for dual enrollment funding processes, including comparing student and course information across Banner, GA Futures, and other applicable systems; identifying discrepancies or missing information; maintaining tracking records; and escalating funding issues requiring additional review. Assists with routine funding reconciliation and tracking to help ensure eligible student course registrations are submitted and resolved in a timely manner. Performs data entry and updates student records in Banner, TargetX, and other approved systems in accordance with established procedures. Supports high-volume enrollment periods by assisting with application processing, registration, student communications, and follow-up. Communicates with students and high school partners regarding missing documents, incomplete enrollment requirements, registration status, and other routine next steps. Assists HSI coordinators with preparation and maintenance of student rosters, cohort lists, school-specific enrollment reports, and other operational tracking tools. Provides administrative support for HSI programs including Dual Enrollment, concurrent enrollment, career and technical education cohorts, Accelerated Career pathways, Dual Achievement, and other high school partnership initiatives. Assists with HSI orientations, registration events, school visits, information sessions, and other student or partner events as needed. Maintains confidentiality of student records and complies with FERPA, college policies, and applicable state and federal requirements. Demonstrates accuracy, responsiveness, sound judgment, and a high level of customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
