Adoption Counselor The LOVE Pet Project Zionsville, IN Job Details Full-time $12 - $16 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Companion animal handling Interpersonal skills Driver's License Attention to detail Dog handling Pet care facilities Full Job Description The LOVE Pet Project is a 501c3 in Zionsville, Indiana that is dedicated to finding pets forever, loving homes. We are looking for an enthusiastic, animal loving, team player who wants to play match maker for pets and owners! The job does require working all day on Fridays and Saturdays (8am-6pm). There is some flexibility in hours - we offer a schedule of working 4 -10hr shifts or 5-8hr shifts. You will be responsible for working directly with the animals and getting to know their personalities, bathing pups prior to meet and greets, conducting meet and greets and adoption events, social media, cleaning and caring for the animals, and the final adoption process. You will be representing the shelter to the general public so being outgoing and friendly are important. Must love dogs and people, and be able to multitask with confidence. Because of the demands of this position, attention to detail and punctuality are not optional—they are necessary for sustained success in the role.
