Full Job Description Pay:

$18.00 - $19.50 per hour based on education and experience Job description: The Intake Case Worker plays a vital role in overseeing residential admissions and releases. In this role you'll complete admission/release paperwork, screen and assess children when brought in, and distribute paperwork to appropriate departments and agencies.

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (12pm-8pm) and Wednesday (8am-4pm) - 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

Screen and assess children for victimization utilizing dialogue with child, conducting body reports and review case information from law enforcement or DCF. Interacts with DCF case workers, police department representatives, Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center, and District Attorney's office to obtain, record, and transfer case information. Identifies medical concerns and medication status. Answers calls and records referral information for incoming admissions, completes and distributes all paperwork. Checks admission and release information to all departments. Secures information such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to youths' situation and disseminates appropriate information. Follows up to obtain medication if needed. Confirms release plans with identified agencies. Discusses with family members plans for release. Provides support in other departments throughout the home when requested. Rotates on-call status for intake on rotation, performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Experience with intake strongly preferred Administrative experience required Strong communication, crisis-management, and organizational skills. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and residents' rights. Valid Kansas Driver's License Ability to work flexibly, support staff, and maintain professionalism in challenging situations. Ability to work holidays if it falls on a regularly scheduled workday. Holidays are paid at time and half.
