Job Description

The Insurance Advocate enrolls patients in ACA Marketplace plans. This is an onsite position that requires you to report onsite daily to your assigned hospital facility in New Orleans, LA, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. CST. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
Contact patients to assess financial and medical eligibility for coverage Enroll patients in ACA marketplace plans and obtain required documentation Guide patients through the enrollment process and assist with case issues Perform bedside screenings when necessary Manage a high volume of outreach calls Document all activity in HealthFund Solutions, Hospital databases, and EMR systems Stay up to date on ACA policies, procedures and certification requirements Provide accurate and timely data to support reporting and tracking needs
Requirements:
High School Diploma required; some college preferred 1-2 years related experience Knowledge of ACA marketplace, Medicaid, & commercial insurance terms preferred Computer proficient; EMR/EHR experience preferred Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance Must complete hospital medical clearance and required vaccinations
