Non-exempt Job Summary:
Health Plan Representative is responsible for contacting referred Health Plan members to assess for Social Security and Medicare benefit eligibility. Aiding in procuring documentation for eligibility applications and acting as support to the Social Security Representatives which could include scheduling appointments and monitoring for final resolution from Social Security Administration.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role has no supervisory responsibilities Key Performance Metrics Performance standards and expectations will be provided in a separate document upon hire. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of user applications, such as, Internet Browser, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Windows 10+, Business Systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be able to obtain HIPAA certification, including their application to digital information systems. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years medical insurance and/or Social Security related experience and/or training not mandatory but preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
