Job Description
Job Overview The Enrollment Specialist will provide excellent customer service to all students, college employees, and the community at large by providing comprehensive help regarding the admissions, financial aid and student account processes, and other steps in a student's onboarding process. The role will be a primary customer service contact for the Office of Enrollment Services, performing an array of duties. These duties will include but are not limited to greeting visitors, answering phone calls and emails, data entry, document management, processing of admissions applications and transcripts, collection calls, collecting and process payments, financial aid counseling appointments, and other student engagement outreach. This position will rotate between the Forrest County Campus and the Poplarville Campus. Responsibilities
- Answers admissions, financial aid and student account inquiries, emails, and telephone calls by providing general information to students, employees, and the community.
- Collects documentation, takes messages, and schedules appointments.
- Handles department incoming and outgoing mailings.
- Assists with the student's admissions and financial aid processes.
- Assists students with questions about bills, statements and payment options.
- Coordinates Banner Document Management.
- Be available for work during registration activity including those periods falling after normal work hours.
- Review and process student's admissions application and make determinations following state and federal guidelines.
- Perform enrollment verifications.
- Assist with student outreach for onboarding
- Assist with collection efforts via phone, mail, text.
- Review current financial aid status and provide routine updates.
- Data clean up following state and PRCC policy.
- Manage a case load of students throughout their educational journey, assisting with all Enrollment Services.
- Communicate to students regarding missing documentation, holds, upcoming dates, payment deadlines, etc.
- Collect and process cash, check, and credit card payments.
- Print and analyze student account statements.
- Review student financial aid information and assist during the awarding process.
- To perform all other assigned duties as directed by Director of Enrollment Services.
Experience and Skills:
- Multi-tasking skills, including time management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Confidence with office-based software such as Excel, Word, and various other database programs.
- Understand and maintain confidentiality regarding all information about students and their families, both current and prospective.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as function independently.
- Data entry experience.
- Energetic and positive.
- Critical thinking and problem solving
