Job Description
Our client is a revenue management company and they are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller Clerk to join their team in Chappaqua, NY!
Shift:
Hybrid setting. Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm. Tuesday/Thursday are remote days. (Must have own system at home) Job type: Permanent position Hourly pay: up to $22 an hourDuties:
Responsible for tracking, collecting and reconciling of all records and demographics for anesthesia departments from the various locations of assigned facilities. Ensure records and demographics are entered into company's billing software program with schedules and clean, digital copies of documents for retention purposes. Ensure performance of insurance eligibility verification Resolve EDI errors and patient documentation needs thru electronic and verbal communication with facilities, payors, surgeon offices and off-site internal and external staff as required. Utilize and effectively navigate software including company's billing database as well as external payor, facility and vendor portals and software systems. Keep direct manager apprised of any issues, hardships in obtaining requested information from providers and facilities. Maintain good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work, safety procedures and employee handbook. Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making skills to accomplish goals and creatively problem-solve issues within scope of positionQualifications:
A minimum of 1-2years of insurance verifications Strong Anesthesia Billing Preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proper phone etiquette and communications skills, both verbal and written Appropriate computer hardware including secure Wi-Fi to work remotelyJob Type:
