This position is ideal for someone who can quickly step into a fast-paced higher education environment, guide prospective students through the admissions process, and maintain strong coordination with faculty and administrative partners. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule with a hybrid arrangement of four days onsite and one remote day that may vary.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the intake and tracking of prospective student applications, ensuring materials are complete and following up promptly when additional information is needed.
  • Coordinate admissions testing by arranging schedules, maintaining accurate records, and documenting outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Advise admitted and prospective students on enrollment steps, required documentation, and deadlines to support a smooth start to their academic journey.
  • Work closely with faculty, administrators, and campus departments to address applicant concerns and resolve admissions-related issues effectively.
  • Contribute to meetings, committees, and cross-functional discussions by sharing updates and helping improve admissions practices and communication.
  • Evaluate current admissions workflows and identify opportunities to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and the overall applicant experience.
  • Assist with candidate review activities, interview coordination, and participation in recruitment events designed to attract prospective students.
  • Provide operational support for undergraduate recruitment and admissions initiatives, helping maintain continuity during interim coverage.
  • Maintain a student-facing presence while handling inquiries with care and a high level of customer service. Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in higher education admissions or a closely related university admissions setting.
  • Bachelor's degree required; candidates with an Associate's degree may be considered if they bring substantial relevant admissions experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with prospective students and respond to a high volume of inquiries.
  • Experience collaborating with faculty, administrators, and internal stakeholders in an academic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, documentation, and follow-up activities with accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work independently without supervisory duties, and perform effectively in an advanced admissions environment.
