Job Description

Job Overview:
The Intake & Enrollment Specialist is responsible for fielding inquiries from potential enrollees and referral sources and assisting potential enrollees with the enrollment process which may include Medicaid applications and recertification's, coordinating benefits and facilitating plan transfers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and enrollees and respond to any requests or concerns. The primary goal is to provide information, education and customer service to Hamaspik Choice referral sources and potential enrollees. The Enrollment Specialist will provide accommodation for members who require language translations and communication assistance as well. Facilitates the enrollment of new members by responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to Medicaid eligibility Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Hamaspik Choice, Inc. network and key referral sources.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of NYS requirements specific to MLTC enrollment and marketing guidelines preferred. Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and public relations skills. Demonstrates autonomy, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities. Proficiency in the use of office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records system. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to speak effectively with members and employees of the agency.
Required Education, Experience, and Licenses:
At least three years of experience in health care marketing management, preferably in managed care operations. After 90 days of employment, employee must hold a NYS Life and Health insurance license (course and training to be set up by company immediately upon hire)
